Saba Honors Six Enterprises for Human Capital Management Innovation and Success
REDWOOD SHORES, CALIF., July 6, 2005 — Saba (NASDAQ: SABA), a leading provider of human capital management (HCM) solutions, today announced the recipients of six customer awards. The award presentation was part of “Innovations 2005”, Saba’s User Group Conference, held in Redwood City, CA June 27 – 29, 2005. With over 300 attendees, this year marked the highest number of participants in the history of the event, including customer attendees from North America, Latin America, Europe, Australia and Japan.
Held on June 29th, the award ceremony served to honor the accomplishments of organizations committed to advancing human capital management as a business strategy; aligning employees, customers and partners with the goals and performance of their enterprises. The 2005 Customer Award winners include: Deloitte, EMC, Volkswagen de Mexico, Abbey, Business Bank Consulting and ADP.
Saba vice president of marketing, Vicki Morris, presided over the ceremony and highlighted what she called the “best in class” examples of learning and HCM adoption. “With a customer base that has grown to more than 420 organizations, this was the toughest year ever for selecting award winners,” said Morris. “We feel proud and honored to be serving enterprises with some of the most advanced HCM initiatives in the world.”
Award winners were honored for their achievements in the following categories:
- Best Global Implementation — Deloitte, with 40,000 users in 60 countries today, plans to grow to 100,000 users in 90 countries by year-end
- Best Extended Enterprise Deployment for Customers — EMC, one of the largest customer education businesses on Saba, with more than 40,000 users generating substantial revenue
- Best Extended Enterprise Deployment for Partners — Volkswagen de Mexico, whose network of independent car dealerships throughout Mexico access learning via a single Saba Learning system
- Largest Performance Management Solution — Abbey, with more than 24,000 users on Saba Enterprise Performance
- Best Learning Portal — Business Bank Consulting’s (BBC) Business Learning Bank, an ASP learning service for the Japanese market utilizing the scalable Saba Learning system
- Best Learning and Performance Strategy — ADP, which is in the process of implementing its competency-driven HCM strategy, with plans to integrate Saba Learning and Saba Performance for 40,000 associates this fall
