Saba Unveils Saba-Centra Summit Tracks

Annual User Conference Set for September 2006

Redwood Shores, Calif., July 17, 2006 — Saba (NASDAQ: SABA), the premier Human Capital Management (HCM) software and services provider, today announced the conference tracks for its annual user group conference, the Saba-Centra Summit 2006, to be held, September 25-28, at the Westin Copley Place Hotel in Boston, Massachusetts.

Featuring more than 80 content-rich sessions across seven tracks, the conference will provide attendees with a broad selection of in-depth discussions – focused on HCM, performance management, enterprise learning, content development and technology – from customers, thought leaders, senior executives, and product experts.

Conference tracks include:

  • HCM and Performance Management – This track will explore how Saba’s integrated learning and performance suite addresses the issues and challenges facing the human resources executive in today’s enterprise. Attendees will also learn about the latest industry trends and issues such as the aging workforce and the performance-driven culture.


  • Saba Learning Business – In this track, Saba customers will share how they are succeeding (and avoiding pitfalls) with learning programs for regulatory compliance, certification, customer education, and informal learning, as well as integrating with Centra virtual classrooms and Saba Performance Management to drive business results.


  • Centra Business – Attendees in this track will hear best practices on how to roll out applications across the enterprise; learn how blended learning can be used effectively to deliver quality customer education, and increase time to market of new products.


  • Saba Technical – This track will feature Saba’s latest product and technology innovations and help attendees learn how to apply them back to their business. Attendees will also hear detailed insight on migration, architecture, integration, and implementation sessions, as well as get to know Saba Enterprise 5 and Centra 7.5 on a deeper level. Designed for Saba implementation, support, and technical experts, the track will include information on the direction of the Saba product suite and the vision for the future.


  • Centra Technical – This track will provide in-depth information on migration, architecture, integration, and implementation sessions, as well as technical insight on Saba Enterprise 5 and Centra 7.5. Designed for Centra implementation, support, and technical experts, the track will also provide information on the direction of the Centra product suite and the vision for the future.


  • Content – In this track, content experts will discuss best practices for all aspects of the content development lifecycle, including rapid development, blended learning, content interoperability (SCORM/AICC), content catalog management, reusable content, development tools, learning governance, and other content topics.


  • Special Industry Focus – This track is targeted to professionals from government and education interested in learning more about best practices and real-world insights on how best to utilize Saba/Centra to achieve their business goals.
